Help My Family in Jamaica Rebuild Their Home After the Hurricane

Hey Friends and Family,

I’m starting this fundraiser for my family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The recent hurricane hit their area hard, and my grandmother’s house—where my aunt, uncle, and cousin currently live—was severely damaged. The roof was completely destroyed, and the house is now unlivable.

Right now, they’re sleeping in a resort bus that my uncle uses for work. It’s the only shelter they have at the moment. My cousin is also pregnant, which makes this even harder on them.

A few people reached out asking how they could help, so I decided to start this GoFundMe to get them back on their feet. The goal is $10,000 to rebuild a proper roof and secure the home using decking material, so it’s stronger and more resistant to future storms.

Because GoFundMe doesn’t allow direct fundraising in Jamaica, I’ll be managing the campaign personally. Once funds are raised, I’ll send them directly to my family via bank wire or Western Union; whichever is safest and easiest for them to access.

Anything you can give helps. Every dollar goes toward getting a roof back over their heads and giving them some stability after losing everything.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or sharing the link.
