6/2/2025 UPDATE:
The last two months have been filled with waiting, lots of waiting, doctor appointments, and managing symptoms. Jesus has been dealing with fatigue, headaches, vertigo, joint pain and swelling, coughing, fevers, and chills. He had to go to the ER two weeks ago due to extreme, relentless coughing, fever, and chills. They kept him overnight, treated him for RSV, and sent him home. His symptoms proceeded to get worse, but he wanted to wait for his neurologist appointment on Friday, May 30. The neurologist ordered bloodwork and he went home only to get a call from her to go to the ER due to the abnormal results. He was admitted to the hospital Friday evening and is still there today. Jesus finally got to see a rheumatologist Saturday and started a steroid treatment yesterday which is helping relieve his symptoms. The rheumatologist let them know this afternoon that he believes Jesus has Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) or microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) which are two types of ANCA-associated vasculitis. He will have a kidney biopsy Friday to pinpoint which. This is such a blessing and answer to prayer to get an idea of what’s going on so it can be treated.
Your continued prayers and support are much appreciated during this difficult time for Jesus and his family.

3/25/25 UPDATE:
Jesus met with the doctor yesterday and they need to do a biopsy of the spots and collect fluids and anything else unusual once they get into his lung. We are hoping he hears from the office and they can get him in for the procedure soon.

3/18/25 UPDATE:
The electronic results of the CT scan of Jesus’ right lung came back and, unfortunately, the spot grew and more little spots are showing. His appointment with the doctor is on Monday to go over the findings and next steps. Prayers and shares would be appreciated; praying for wisdom for the doctor(s) on his case and peace, faith, and positivity as he waits for his next appointment.

3/7/25 UPDATE:
After more testing, visits to an infectious disease specialist and neurologist, another ER visit and overnight stay, doctors have ruled out a lot of causes but Jesus is still left with more questions than answers and continues to deal with symptoms. He has follow up visits scheduled. Right now, prayers would be appreciated for the spot in his lung to go away so the doctors can be assured no more infection remains. Thank you for your continued love and support.

***
Jesus and his family have been faced with a fearful medical journey and mounting bills over the last two months. After seeing an eye doctor for blurry vision and getting new prescription glasses, Jesus’ vision rapidly declined which led to visits to a retinal specialist and his PCP. Ultimately a loss of vision in his left eye resulted in an ER visit followed by 5 days in the hospital undergoing MRIs, CT scans, blood draws, spinal taps, and IVIG infusions. He now has several prescriptions to take and follow up appointments scheduled. Jesus is an honest, hard-working family man who is quick to lend a hand to anyone in need - even encouraging and helping me start food and clothing donation drives at work. Please consider donating to help my friend pay his medical bills so he can focus on getting the treatment he needs and healing. Everything helps and will bless Jesus and his family.
