We are running this month to raise money and awareness for CDKL5 Ireland.

CDKL5 deficiency disorder (CDD) is a devastating rare neurodevelopmental disease which affects brain development and usually leads to seizures. It is caused by mutations in the CDKL5 gene and symptoms usually begin in early infancy. Currently, there is no cure for CDD. My research in FutureNeuro focuses on the underlying mechanism of CDD in order to ultimately develop new therapy options. Working with families affected by CDD, our team can understand the impact of the disease on their loved ones and make us better researchers. Join me and my FutureNeuro colleagues in our virtual run to raise awareness and funds for Irish families affected by CDD. All monies raised will be donated to CDKL5 Ireland to contribute to transport costs for appointments and support meetings.
