Hi friends, my name is Nessa and I’m creating this fundraiser to help my brother and his 2.5-year-old cat, Max, who is currently facing a serious medical emergency.

Over the past couple of weeks, Max’s health has taken a sudden turn. Max was recently diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease causing painful stomatitis and extensive inflammation throughout his mouth. As the condition has progressed, Max has had increasing difficulty eating, leading to loss of appetite, drools constantly due to the pain, and has begun losing weight.

After multiple vet visits and consultations, my brother was told that Max needs full dental extraction as soon as possible to remove the source of the inflammation and give him the best chance at a comfortable and pain-free life. We are currently calling around to different vets and specialists to compare costs and find the most affordable option, but the estimates we’ve received are around $5,000.

Anyone who knows my brother knows how much Max means to him. My brother is doing everything he can to get Max the care he needs and I wanted to create this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden so the focus can be on helping Max recover.
