Summer Art Concentration In Florence
Donativo protegido
Recently I submitted an application competing against upper division and graduate level students to a study abroad in Florence, Italy this summer...
To be able to be a part of a community where artists are able to push themselves and others, while gaining new perspectives, and experiencing a different culture would be unbelievably gratifying and life changing.
Every aspect from working all day alongside other students who want to be there just as badly, to the museum visits, to the night time sketchbook drawings of the city made me realize how great, enjoyable, and inspiring of an experience this program would be. The exploration of outlooks, customs, and activities is just as fascinating as the ability to see the architecture, natural wonders, and historical pieces themselves.
This experience would challenge and broaden my perspectives which would work to add new layers, techniques, and topics within my own paintings and drawings. To not take advantage of this opportunity would be regretful.
This week I was shocked and thrilled to find out I had been accepted. Unfortunately, as of nowI do not have the money to attend this program.
Any support you are willing to give to make this immersion possible would be greatly valued!
I wish you all health and happiness,
- Sylvan
(Here are some images of my work...They were not able to be inserted at the correct orientation without the site cropping them so they are all turned on their side!)
