Amelia, a fifth grader at Brennen Elementary, has been selected to travel with a People to People delegation of 5th and 6th graders from the Columbia area to Western Canada. As an Ambassador, Amelia will visit Parliament, participate in whale-watching research, spend time on a Native American reservation, and walk on a glacier, among other activities. She has traveled to China, Belgium, France, Holland and, most recently, Africa with her parents; this will be her first international trip without them. In her spare time, Amelia likes to sew, paint and take care of animals. Donors can expect to receive a hand-made thank-you gift that Amelia has crafted.
