Help Michelle Bowles Fight Cancer & Continue Her Mission of Service
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my dearest friend, Michelle Bowles, who is currently in the fight of her life against multiple myeloma—a rare and aggressive cancer of the bone marrow.
This diagnosis has not only impacted her health, but it has forced her to stop working and focus entirely on survival and recovery. Michelle is not just a cancer warrior—she is a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force, where she proudly served our country. After her military service, she devoted her life to healing and helping others. She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse, and later earned her master’s degree in social work, dedicating herself to some of the most vulnerable members of our society: homeless individuals struggling with addiction. Her passion for service is deeply personal. Before becoming a social worker, Michelle was a homeless veteran herself—battling addiction and hardship. But through immense strength and perseverance, she rebuilt her life from the ground up and now celebrates over six years clean. Before cancer forced her to stop working, Michelle was on the front lines at a homeless shelter, using her lived experience and clinical expertise to guide others toward healing and hope. Michelle has always been the first to show up for others. Now, she needs us to show up for her. Since her diagnosis in April, she has undergone weekly chemotherapy infusions that have left her exhausted and unable to work. In September, she will undergo an autologous stem cell transplant, which will require a minimum of six months of recovery. The financial burden—on top of the physical and emotional strain—is immense.
All donations will go directly toward:
• Life-saving medical treatments and medications
• Transportation to and from medical appointments
• Rent, groceries, and basic living expenses
• Any other costs she faces while focusing on healing
No amount is too small—every donation and share truly makes a difference. Let’s rally behind Michelle, a veteran, a healer, a survivor, and a friend, and give her the support she needs to keep fighting and one day return to the work she loves.
With love and gratitude,
Nathan M.
