6 years ago I joined GoFundMe because my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Today I sadly join again for the same reason... :(
Most people knows Matt Montz as the best brother and son, great friend, out going Business Owner, Hell of a pool player, the man that would give the shirt off his own back to someone in need. To us he is the most amazing husband and wonderful father of our two boys Christian 6 and Austin 2.
They diagnosed him with Sarcoma Cancer in his left side of his neck. Do to the size of the tumor it is pushing on a nerve in his arm. He is in excruciation pain and he doesn't have use of his left arm. He is no longer able to work his own business. Thank fully Winston has been working the business for us. We thank him so much. They have sent the biopsy slides up to Harvard to take another look. That will take about a week. My husband and his older brother Andrew Montz has been researching for other treatment options out there. Since the one they offered was chemo and that only has a 23% chance ....more like 3% chance of shrinking the tumor. We have to shrink the tumor before we are able to surgical remove it.
I am so proud of my husband. He is changing his diet. Dropping red meat and sugars. He has been juicing everyday. This from a man who only liked meat and potatoes. We are looking into alternative therapies as of CBD oil, supplement, juicing, and other things to attack this. We are not giving up and will do anything to win.
That is why I am here. We just purchased our dream home and received the keys yesterday. Going from renting to owning 5 acres and a home is a big money change. Getting a loan at this point is not an option. As you know building a army inside my husband to fight this battle is not cheap. We have been spending so much money on testing, hospital appointments, Supplements, our grocery bill has increase do to buying organic, and staying away from cheap processed foods. Being healthy is expensive but worth it. We have already spent thousands on everything and we are just beginning this battle.
I am here to ask for donations for not only my husband Matt but for our family. When the King of your castle has to step down for a little while it make a big impact of our lives. We are looking for funds to do what ever Matt needs to fight this battle and win. We are still looking into what route to take but I don't want money to hold back my husband getting the best care he deserve.
