Help Sarah's Recovery
Donation protected
Hi my name is Cyndi and my brother Joe's family is going through a major medical crisis. My sister in law Sarah was hospitalized on August 9th with an extensive case of COVID and placed on oxygen. She progressively got worse and had to be put on a ventilator two an half weeks later. The damage to her lungs is severe and they even spoke of a possible lung transplant and suggested a transfer to a University hospital. With the help of friends my brother's tenacity paid off and they air lifted her to a University hospital in the city on September 10th. The transfer was rough on her body and a week later her left lung collapsed and she went into cardiac arrest for a minute . They put in two chest tubes and stabilized her. She is slowly making her way back to us, fighting with all she's got! She's starting to respond, working with PT and doing most of the work. They recently had to placed two more chest tubes because the original were not working efficiently. She has been through so much and has a long recovery ahead but is truly a FIGHTER. My brother works full time as a mental health counselor (tough without a family crisis) and is parenting their 3 children, ages 13, 12 and 9. Sarah is a music teacher and also a big part of supporting the family. I'm so proud of my brother and saddened that they are going through such a crisis. They are a family of STRONG FAITH and are surrounded by friends and family for emotional support. I wanted to help alleviate some of the financial burden so the family can focus 100 % on Sarah's recovery! If your able to help in any way, great! Please keep Sarah, my brother Joe and the kids in your prayers. I truly believe that LOVE is the common bond amongst all! If you could hold a place in your heart for Sarah, I would forever be grateful!
