Last Wednesday, a fire tore through my friend Kay Hunte-Ferrance's home, leaving behind devastation that no family should ever have to face. Out of the rooms in the house, only one room remained untouched. Everything else was consumed by the fire.

The youngest brother lost everything, his room was entirely consumed by the flames. All of his clothes and personal belongings are completely destroyed.

The family of five, which includes a nine year old little girl, now has very little left. Their clothes, daily essentials, and a sense of stability have all been taken in an instant. They’re currently scattered, staying with friends and extended family as they try to figure out their next steps.

This GoFundMe is to help the Ferrance family begin the long process of rebuilding and replace basic necessities, secure temporary housing, and start piecing their lives back together. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to supporting this family in their time of greatest need.
