Our friend and my father, Jim Maxwell, has done so much for Upper County and now We have the chance to do something for him.
Jim has been diagnosed with serious heath problems that are going to require lengthy and expensive medical care. Although he has health insurance, many items, including prescription drug coverage, deductibles, copays and other incidentals are not covered.
Unfortunately, due to his condition he has been forced to retire. Not being able to work has seriously impacted his finances.
Jim has been a very active, full time member of our community since 1996. During this time he served as President of Upper County Tots & Seniors Christmas Fund for 7 years. He was responsible for or directly involved in raising approximately $100,000 during this time so the less fortunate children and elders in our area could enjoy a Merry Christmas.
Jim has also served as President of the Roslyn Eagles for ten terms. During his tenure he has devoted countless hours, much energy and money into improving the Roslyn Eagles Club. Jim led the effort to install windows and remodel the inside of the club.
He and two other members built the entire Beer Garden that we all enjoy. He has cooked countless meals both inside and outside the club. Many fundraisers have been held under his leadership; Roslyn Museum, Roslyn Theater, Roslyn Library, Roslyn Firefighters Association, ARRF and many others.
Please help Jim who has done so much for us by donating any amount you are comfortable with to help Jim get through this difficult time.
