Jessica's Recovery

To All of Our Family and Friends,  

On Friday, May 6th, 2022, our dear Jessica was in a life altering car accident when she collided with a truck. She was rushed to Westchester Medical Center that night and underwent emergency surgery to control internal bleeding of her kidney and liver, as well as reconstructive surgery of her bile duct which was torn at impact from the crash. While in ICU for two weeks, Jessica underwent three more surgeries for a broken femur, dislocated hip, broken ankle and broken wrist. Although her surgeries went well, she is still unable to move her left foot due to the femur surgery. Thankfully, she is out of ICU but remains in the hospital at this time until she can be transferred to a rehab facility.   

Jessica’s mom & sister, who live in Virginia, were able to rush to NY the following day to be by her side, along with her father and brother, during this horrific time. Before the accident, Jessica has been a dedicated nanny to two beautiful kids, a baby boy and a four year old girl, for the past year and a half. She was also in school pursuing a degree in accounting, however, all of this has now been put on pause indefinitely due to her situation.   

Friends and family who know Jessica know that she has overcome many hardships in her life. She is an incredibly kind and caring person, and we are lucky to still have her with us. We are extremely grateful for all the support, love and prayers from everyone in her life. Jessica has a long road ahead of her, but we are very hopefully for a full recovery. We thank everyone for all the visitations and gifts over the past few weeks. All of the efforts have helped our Jessica to remain hopeful and positive, and remind her how much she is loved.    

All donations will go toward:

 - Costs beyond her insurance coverage for current hospitalization, surgeries, etc. 

 - Rehabilitation care for 6-7 weeks 

 - Meals and transportation for Jessica and her family during this time
