Rocking Ron Cade and his Elvis and Friend's Radio Show has been a Delaware Valley Radio Tradition for over 39 years. This show is the longest weekly Radio Show in America dedicated to the keeping the Music and Memories of the world's most beloved singer and entertainer, Elvis Presley, alive for generations.
The Elvis and Friends Radio Show is the
"Original Elvis Radio," and it has been #1 in Ratings in its time slot in one of the top five markets in America.
Ron Cade has devoted his entire career to this Show. The public is not aware that for the past 28 years he worked every Sunday morning, week after week, so that this show would continue uninterrupted. Ron took no vacation, sick, nor holiday time off.
In June 2017, Ron Cade and the Elvis and Friends Radio Show was canceled from its Philadelphia home due to "programming changes" at the station. This left the show and Ron to continue without a platform.
The show was off the air for over three months.
During this time, Ron went out to look for a platform for the show. He went from station to station in the NJ and PA Region and also reached out to the Satellite Radio pitching the show. He was told that "He was respected in the industory, but at this time there was no airtime available for his show." In early October, Ron was offered a chance to revive the show over Internet Radio, but with a stipulation that he would need to set up a new radio studio at a cost to him. With today's technology this is easy, but the cost of doing so without having a source of income can be staggering. Another stipulation with this option is that he will not collect a salary for the internet show. Internet radio does not have sponsors like "over the air" radio does. There is very little overhead because there are no disc jockeys and there is only minimal interactions with the fans. It's only music. Ron Cade used his own saving and funds to purchase a new studio (AKA Penthouse) to continue the weekly tradition for his fans over the Internet. I have been a friend of Ron Cade's for over 35 years. Ron is the voice who tought us about the life and music of the King of Rock and Roll. Without Ron's dedication, most people today would have already forgotten about Elvis and his inspiration on today's music. Just ask Bruno Mars. He is a big Elvis Fan and there are YouTube videos to prove it.
With this being said, I ask for your support in helping Ron Cade defray the cost of the Elvis and Friends Radio Show. The funds collected will be used to cover show expense such as the cost of the studio equipment, micophones, cables, computers, and associated maintenance. Please understand Ron Cade DOES NOT collect any salary for this show. Ron continues the show due to his dedication to Elvis and his loyal fans.
He has not collected a salary, besides dwindling unemployment, since being released from the radio station.
