Walking For Charlie
Donation protected
Saturday 9th November will be exactly one year since we lost Charlie, he was unable to make the full train journey home from The Arsenal. On the same date this year some of Charlie's friends and family will be completing that same journey in his memory, but on foot, we will be walking from The Arsenal to Charlie's home, which is approximately 15 miles and is expected to take around 5-6 hours.
We're primarily doing this to do our little bit to help raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention, that said we will also be open to accepting donations towards the charity that Charlie's sister Becky is working hard on getting registered, details to follow, hence the creation of this.
Anyone is welcome to join us for part of or the full 15 miles, or just meet me for a beer afterwards as I am happy to trot along on my own before finally heading to Charlie's local pub for a well needed pint. If you are unable to that is totally fine, just do your own little bit to raise awareness in your own time.
I'm not setting a target for this, we raise what we raise, however I have entered £24 purely just to put an amount in, plus it being the age Charlie will forever be.
