Help Kyle Beat Cancer

My dad, Kyle Castilon, is one of the funniest and most positive people I've met. He can easily bring a smile to anyone's face. He has three children and maybe one too many cichlids.
Growing up, I cannot recall a single time he was sick, so receiving the dreaded phone call was not something I thought I would ever have to experience with him.
As a young child, my dad, Kyle Castilon, was moved to various foster homes before finding his forever family. They were unsure of his biological family's medical history until recently when a doctor diagnosed him with his Sarcoma.
A Sarcoma is a malignant tumor of connective or other nonepithelial tissue. This particular diagnosis makes up of only 1% of all cancer diagnoses. Finding a doctor by which specifies in Sarcomas is apparently a lot harder than expected. My dad luckily has found a doctor and recently started treatment; however, his bills are quickly exceeding his financial abilities. He was diagnosed in July 2020 and began radiation therapy on August 10, 2020. His radiation appointments are 5 days/week for five weeks. A biopsy of his lungs will be performed halfway into this treatment for they have found spots. Further treatment will be held once he completes his first five weeks and the doctors get a better understanding of his lungs. My dad's tumor started in his lower right shin but has spread down to his foot and upwards towards his knee. Due to his lack of ability to walk, he is currently on unpaid LOA from work. His Disability benefits will not go into effect for another 2-3 months. This is why we ask for your help. (It took a lot of convincing to get my dad on board with this. He has always been very independent and does not know how to ask for help.)
I am a 24-year-old college student and can unfortunately not assist my dad financially. We live in neighboring states, so I am only able to seldomly visit. His church family has graciously set up a schedule to get my dad to his appointments. I cannot express how grateful I am for that kind gesture.
My dad lives for his family, his church, his friends, and his basketball. Typically, he would be spending his time playing ball or having game night with his church family; however, he now struggles to make it across the living room.
I am starting this GoFundMe to give my dad, Kyle Castilon, a chance. If we cannot raise enough for his treatments, I am hoping we at least raise enough to put food on his table. That's all I am asking. I appreciate your time and will keep this page updated with his progress.
His daughter,
Katelyn Castilon
