Support for Scarlett

Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this. My name is Debby Ralph. On Thursday, August 24th, my son and granddaughter were victims of a serious motorcycle accident in Whitman. My son suffered many cuts and severe bruising and sustained several injuries requiring stitches. He was released from the hospital late that evening. My 8-year-old granddaughter, Scarlett had to be med-flighted to Boston Children's Hospital with severe bruising and a serious leg injury. As of right now Scarlett has had 3 surgeries and will undergo a lengthy leg reconstruction surgery tomorrow 9/1.

She is being as brave as she can be for an 8-year-old sadly she didn't get to have a normal birthday party (August 29) and she missed her first day of school she will miss many, many more days. Her parents are out of work, dad is healing, mom and dad are staying with Scarlett at the hospital. With this unexpected accident it is and will take a toll financially and emotionally on the family.

Scarlett will need several surgeries and medical assistance in the home to help care for her in the upcoming months and years she will also need many visits to Boston when she comes home however the downside is that her parents have 1 car and with Scarletts injury she will not be able to get in the one they have. I am reaching out to our fabulous community to see what we can do to help them make things a bit easier for then in present and upcoming appointment and medical expenses.

behalf of myself and my family we would like to thank everyone who has donated to support Scarlett she is a strong little girl who has a lot of healing to do pain is real and it's so unfair!! Praying she gets the relief that she needs soon so she can start to heal. When I am asked how Scarlett is doing, I honestly say, she is doing the best she can the pictures we post are the moments when she can smile but behind the scenes she is in pain and trying to understand all of this
