In April our family was shocked when my brother Chris was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was hospitalized for over a month and treated aggressively with various chemotherapies.  Since his initial release, he has undergone outpatient chemo and has been hospitalized a number of times. Chris, with the love and support of his wife, children and family, has managed to be very strong throughout this ordeal and plans to kick cancer’s butt. Luckily, another of my siblings is a match for bone marrow which will hopefully help to cure Chris.  While the outcome eventually looks bright, there is a long road ahead. 

Though Chris can still put in some hours from home, it is not the same as working full time.  Doctors cannot guarantee how he will feel after the transplant. He doesn’t know what he will be capable of doing over the upcoming months while his body and mind fight to recover. The out of pocket medical expenses along with the day to day household financial expenses for a family of five have been greatly impacted.  In times of crisis you realize the generosity of not only your family and friends but of some complete strangers.  Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to help out financially, please keep him in your prayers.  Thank you and God Bless!
