Please Help Our Mom Get Surgery Next Week

This is our mom, Paula. She has always put her family first, even when it meant sacrificing her own health. She lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a disability that causes her constant joint pain and has kept her from working. Despite facing multiple painful procedures over the years, she’s always found the strength to care for me and my brother, making sure we had what we needed even when she went without food or her meds.

Recently, mom’s dental health has taken a serious turn. Years of severe acid reflux have destroyed her teeth, and without dental insurance or the means to pay for care, her situation has become urgent. One of her back teeth has broken and is now dangerously close to abscess and infection. She needs an extraction and implant as soon as possible, and her other teeth are also in need of attention. Our family lives on a very low income, and even as the only family member able to work, I have left for college. Every dollar goes toward essentials. Mom has tried other options, but they all involve long waits and more extractions no matter the diagnosis, which would only make things worse.

Throughout her life, mom has put our needs before her own, sometimes even skipping her own medication or meals to make sure we were cared for. She’s faced her disability, pre-skin cancer, migraines, and injuries with incredible strength and faith. My brother and I are doing everything we can including providing emotional support, and now reaching out for help through this fundraiser. We want nothing more than to see our mom get the care she needs and deserves. Her broken tooth is on the verge of infection, and she needs this surgery urgently. Any support will help us give back to the woman who has given us EVERYTHING. Please help!
