Hello, my family and friends. I am Robert. I work with a class of students who have mild to moderate autism and intellectual disabilities. A parent of a student in my class encountered some medical issues that hindered her ability to care for the children in her home. The agency that took the children was having a hard time finding placement due to the severity of his non-typical demeanor.

I really love my job and have built a great rapport with the students I work with. After a couple of failed attempts in placement, they were going to send him to a facility out of the county. To avoid that happening and to keep him close to his family, I intervened and have had the child in my custody since the beginning of March.

After taking him in, I had to reduce some hours at work to implement a good routine to ensure a smooth transition for both of us. Though there is a stipend involved, I have yet to receive the full amount that we discussed when they placed him in my care, as I had to complete some coursework to receive it. I completed the coursework last night, so hopefully, I will receive the amount discussed next month.

I have fallen behind on some bills and the funds will help me get out of the financial debt that has accumulated over the past 4 months as I completed the coursework. I appreciate any donations and prayers sent our way!! Thank you!!
