 As many of you know my sister Jackie and her husband Jared are expecting twin boys, Asher and Jameson. They were blessed with two miracles, however Jackie’s pregnancy has been a difficult one. At her  20 week ultrasound they got the devastating news that little Jameson had a mass near his kidney called a lymphangioma and would require surgery after birth. The safest place and where the experts are to do this surgery and keep an eye on the boys while they are happily growing in Jackie’s belly is the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.   They will need to relocate to Philly for that last month of her pregnancy. 

Last week Jackie and Jared had another scare when she went into preterm labor.   Luckily, the amazing Medical staff at Burdett care/Saint Peter’s  were able to get everything under control and have put Jackie on bed rest until the beautiful boys arrive.  

 You can imagine going a state away for many different tests and monitoring  of the boys as well as where Jackie will deliver the boys is heart wrenching being so far from family and friends. The love and support they have already received has been so comforting . The cost of an out of state delivery, a surgery for Jameson as well as an unknown length of stay in the NICU in Pennsylvania ahead of these babies is immense. I am hoping we can ease that burden, to help Jackie and Jared ‘s focus stay on their daughter Amelia and their two little boys.
