Hi, my name is Antonio Gravedoni
Im sure many people have seen the man who rides
his bike around Ishpeming/Negaunee with a small cart on the back and cleans peoples windows at various different gas stations.
His name is Freddie, I was at BP west ishpeming today and he asked to wash my RZR windshield. He didnt ask for money, but he asked me very politely if he could wash my windshield. I told him yes and walked inside for my items.
Ive seen this man at 4:30am sitting outside holiday in Ishpeming before on the curb under the lights. Thats a rough & tough life. Honestly its very sad.
Today I had $14 in cash on me. Its not much, especially with the crazy prices of everything, but it’s something, it was enough for him to grab a bite to eat and something to drink. As I pulled away in I thought to myself how rough it must be and how if my kids ever were in that spot and I wasnt around, how I would wish someone would help.
I turned around and went back to the gas station to talk to him. He wants to clean cars, he loves it and wants that to be his living. With being homeless its not easy to just go get a job, he didnt stink of booze or cigarettes, he just wants to work for his money and wont take a hand out without doing some sort of service for you.
I have him coming to BUBS CAR WASH in West Ishpeming every week now to help him make some $ by washing cars etc.
If anybody can donate money to help him out and get him on his feet that would be amazing.
Thank you
It takes little to no time to help someone out in life, and the littlest of things could be life changing for that other person.
We have raised enough money get him a small gas powered bike to get to/from.
He used the rest of his money from the car washes to put money down on a small A frame house. It has no source of heat and no furniture of any kind.
Please help me continue my journey to help raise money for freddie before the cold winter months of the UP
