Hi, my name is Carol Schoff and I am asking for help, which is not easy for me. My sweet youngest daughter, Lindsay, who has been battling for her own four year old daughter (the lingering effects of having been born two months premature) was just diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Lindsay also has a six year old son, a husband, and two adoring rescue pups. She and her husband work hard for their family and she is trying to get through school to be able to (hopefully) bring in much-needed income for her family. The numerous physical and behavioral appointments she has to do with her daughter are never-ending, but because Lindsay fights hard for her daughter, Lena has blossomed into a rambunctious four year old! Lindsay has a big heart for all of us and tries to help others in need, but now she needs our help.
Though her husband has a good job he loves, his net pay after paying for insurance is not much over the poverty line for a family of four. It is agonizing for this mom to realize that in this day and age, my daughter and her family, who are trying to be self-sufficient and have insurance, still can't afford the treatments (chemo port, subsequent chemo treatments and expensive scans and lab work) that will help her fight this fight. She has already had to put off getting the chemo port put in, due to finances.
The stress that Lindsay is under is enormous, as you can imagine, and that stress feeds this type of cancer. I am simply trying to help take some of that stress off of her, so if you can, please help monetarily. If all you can do is pray for her healing, that is more than enough and very welcome indeed! Prayer is very powerful medicine and God is good and will provide.
Thank you for letting me share with all of you!
