During halftime at the North Little Rock vs. Benton High School football game, tragedy struck when my son (in love), Desmend Alexander, was shot while simply being there to his son who is in Benton’s band. What should have been a night of school spirit and family pride quickly turned into a nightmare.

Desmend & my daughter, Veronica Thomas Alexander, are now facing unimaginable pain, uncertainty, and rising medical expenses. Desmend has been hospitalized and have a long road to recovery. No family should ever have to endure something like this. In this time of shock and heartbreak, they need the love, prayers, and support of their community more than ever.
