Reid's Road to Recovery

Dear all,

It is with a heavy heart that I share some news about our friend Reid Sadoway.

While vacationing in Halifax Nova Scotia with his wife Andrea, Reid became extremely unwell, requiring admission to the ICU Critical Care unit, where he has remained for the past 6 days.

At this time, the exact cause of his condition is uncertain despite the assistance of many expert teams. He continues to receive incredible care from the physicians, nurses and other health care members both in Halifax and from across Canada. At this time the prognosis and trajectory of his illness remains unclear, as do the rehabilitation requirements.

Reid is surrounded by the love and support from Andrea and his entire family (parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, in-laws, and brothers-in-law). They are all thankful for the incredible support shown to them from friends within Halifax, back in Saskatoon, and beyond.

With Reid and Andrea’s consent, the goal of creating this benevolent fund is to provide some financial reprieve over the next few months while Reid remains in hospital and subsequently rehabs at home. These funds would allow Andrea temporary time off work to stay out East to support Reid and eventually help him transition home. Andrea is currently 5 months pregnant with their first child, and Reid is determined to get back home and recover for his soon to be family of three. We are all hoping for this as well. 

They want to again thank everyone for their support and ask that you continue to send love, well wishes and prayers.
