Please Help Save Shelby

I never thought I’d be writing something like this. My best friend’s dog, Shelby Girl, is fighting for her life right now. She’s only 8 years old and the sweetest soul you could ever meet. She’s the kind of dog who loves with her whole heart who curls up next to you when you’re sad, who greets you like you’re the best person in the world every single time you walk through the door.

She was rushed to the hospital because she has fluid around her heart. Hearing those words broke us. She needs a procedure that could maybe save her life, but without it, we don’t know how much time she has left. The thought of losing her this soon is unbearable.

Shelby isn’t “just a dog.” She is my best friend’s soul dog, her entire world, her reason to smile through the hardest days. To all of us who love her, she’s family. The truth is we can’t imagine life without her.
