Chip Dill was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January.  Unable to work, living alone, undergoing chemo, facing surgery, he's needing help.

He’s a music man with a 50 year career as a bass guitarist. He’s performed with Austin bands such as Greezy Wheels, Ponty Bone, The Squeeze Tones and many others as well as such nationally known artists as drummer Chris Layton and singer Freddy Fender. In 2013 he was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame.

He’s a master carpenter and a funny, kind, help-you-if-I-can kind of man.

And he’s in trouble.  A diagnosis of pancreatic cancer has led to chemotherapy with surgery coming up.

Friends have gone above and beyond: 16 hour round trips to take him to chemo, delivering food, seeing him through 2 hospitalizations. Kindness after kindness. We, his family, have worked to do our part long distance.

Now he's needing more; daily care to get through the last tough weeks of chemo, then surgery and rehabilitation. He's not going to be able to go back to construction, so he'll need help finding sustainable housing & a less strenuous job.  My mom and I will go to stay in the little country town outside Austin where he lives to see him through this crisis.
