Brandon Morey Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Sergeant Major Brandon Morey was an amazing husband, loving father, dedicated soldier, inspiring coach and mentor and thoughtful friend.
While in Hawaii with his family, Brandon passed away unexpectedly.
Brandon was 42 years old and is survived by his Sutter High high-school sweetheart and wife, Karynne, and his two children, McKynzie (15) and Tyler (14).
Brandon was a loving father who was involved in every aspect of Kynzie's and Tyler’s lives from hanging out with them and their friends to attending the many sports events that they participated in over the years.
As a soldier, he dedicated 24 years of his life to serving his country – 4 years in the US Army and the last 20 years in the National Guard. Brandon served his country in many ways including a year-long deployment to Afghanistan while his children were young.
Brandon was an inspiring coach and mentor to many young men and women. Most recently, he has been donating his time and energy to the Dixon High School and CA Jacobs Intermediate School Wrestling teams where he was volunteering as an assistant coach. He worked hard to help make those athletes successful in their sport and their lives.
He was a thoughtful friend to many and every single person knew they could count on Brandon for anything that they needed.
We are establishing a memorial fund in Brandon’s name to lend support to his wife and children during this unexpected and tragic time.
Brandon will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. We are all better people from having known and loved him.
