Masterson Family Tragedy

Donation protected

Hello. My name is Don. These are three of my beautiful grandchildren. Their names from left to right are Robbie, Haley, and Tracy. Above, Dad is Robert, a disabled American veteran who served in Aphganistan, and Mom is Jennifer, who worked diligently to hold the family together while Robert was deployed. They also have two dogs by the names of Jake and Loky. They are a great family who are very close, inseparable actually, and who do everything together. Robbie and Jen left the military not too long ago and have since relocated a couple of times trying to find work. It has been a difficult transition. Robbie worked toward and received his A&P license with hopes to break into the Aircraft Maintenance/Production industry. Jennifer worked insurance and was the office administrator for their local church. Even with their skill sets, the unstable economy has made it difficult to make ends meet. In hopes of improving their situation they relocated from Florida to Nashville which seemed to offer some promise. The move did not go as anticipated and left them falling short each month. With that, they decided to head back to Florida where at least there they have family support. So, on Jan 9, 2016, after packing up their family, pets, and all of their possessions they headed back to Boynton Beach, Florida. While traveling back to Florida, it became late and they grew tired. So, they decided to stop off at a hotel to get some rest before continuing their journey. They got up in the morning, excited to be on their way, and headed for their minivan and the Penske Truck and connected Trailer that they rented. To their shock and devastation the Penske truck, trailer, and the minivan were gone. They had just witnessed their entire lives having been stolen out from under them. All that they had left was the clothes on their backs. Imagine how they must feel. Emotions are running high to say the least. We are not an affluent family. We do not have the means to restore Robert and Jennifer's family to where it was or at least where they need to be to move forward. With that said, we are humbling ourselves by reaching out to anyone who may have the resources to lend a hand to this beautiful family. They did make it back to Florida and are now staying with Jen's mom and dad. When we get down to talking about what their family needs, well, they have nothing so they need all the basics for sure. Both extended families are reaching out. A friend suggested that "gofundme" may be a good approach toward seeking assistance. That said that's why we're here. Our hope is that we can collect enough funds to get Robert, Jennifer, and their family back on their feet and let them see that in every case the forces of good will always trump the forces of evil. We love our children. We love our entire family. They deserve so much, and yet after all their hard work and effort, all but their lives have been taken from them. It rips our hearts out to see what they have had to, and continue to endure. All that said we are reaching out for assistance toward helping this young family get back on their feet. We need to get them clothing, food, transportation, and a roof over their head. That's the goal. Again, we humbly place the situation of this wonderful yet unfortunate family before you and request your assistance. We also want you to know and understand that we are forever and eternally grateful for your compassion.
