Help Single Mom of 2 Avoid Eviction

Hi all! My friend is facing eviction with her 2 children (ages 2 months and 9 yrs). She was terminated from her job while pregant with her son making paying the rent impossible! She didn’t qualify for any forms of paid leave. She is applying for cash assistance for both children since the fathers are not working (babies father) and uninvolved/lives out of the country (daughters father). Her sons father is also extremely verbally abusive and belittles her any chance he gets. Fortunately, he does not live with them! The marshal just served her with an eviction notice. However, her landlord has said that IF she pays the balance in full, he will stop the eviction. She’s back to work (and working 7 days a week to try and catch up!) now that childcare for her son is situated so rent going forward is not an issue. She owes $6,000 in back rent for the months she was unable to pay due to having no income. If anyone would like to help support this incredible single mama of 2, please let me know! We are also reaching out to local programs to see if she can get any financial support with whatever we cannot come up with from fundraising. Unite CT just stopped accepting new applicants last week!!
