EllisBearyLoved

Ellisbearyloved.org My name is Elizabeth. I am the mother to a 7 year old and a 1 year 8 month old (now in heaven). My son Ellisander was born on June 26,2017 and passed away on July 4th, 2017. This Month He would of been 1 year 8 months old. When I first found out he had omphalocele (at 13 wks pregnant) which is a defect where his belly button was open and so his liver, large and small intestines, and stomach was outside of his body, the doctors asked me to terminate. Personally as a mother i would never give up on my children so I decided to keep my baby And have faith in the Lord that everything will be okay. The entire pregnancy was doctor after doctor visits to monitor him and he always hugged his liver like a teddy bear in my belly. It was so cute how he hugged his liver. He was a very active boy, moving all day long for the entire pregnancy. At 33 weeks i went to doctor and i had to do an emergency c-section because his cord was wrapped around his neck. He was born 4 pounds. I got to see him after an hour and he was very aware. He turned his head looked at me when i spoke to him and was just very very smart and alert. For 8 days doctors tried to push his intestines back in his belly but my son kept pushing it back out. I guess he didn’t like the feeling of stuff going inside him.Little by little doctors got to put his intestines in but had to sedate him so he wouldn’t push it out. It was getting smaller and smaller and i was sooooo happy because my boy was so strong to do this. Well on July 4th everything went down hill...he couldn’t handle it i guess, he looked like an entirely different person, he was fully sedated and they had to do multiple blood transfusions on him. His liver and intestines turned completely black and so once they are black there is no way to save him (usual color is pink). Doctors told me there is no way he will survive but i kept holding on to my faith in the Lord for just a few more hours hoping a miracle would happen. While everyone was celebrating the fourth of July my son was passing away. God called my son to him. I had to let go, i had to pull the plug, my son looked so different and i knew he was done fighting. I held himFor the first time on the day he passed away. His last heartbeat was in my arms. The purpose of this gofund me is to make comfort boxes to mothers of omphalocele and infant loss who have lost a child as well. I wanted to do this in honor of my son. I am hoping to do a non profit one day but for now i wanted to honor my son by delivering boxes all over the United States to mothers who i know have lost a child recently. I want boxes delivered before my sons first birthday in Heaven. In the boxes there will be journals, pens, pencils, custom bracelets, custom box with my sons logo (above) candles with custom labels i made, lotions, body scrubs, a teddy bear, a book of quotes that helped me through my grieving process (which still continues), a list of songs that helped me grieve as well (hoping to add mini usbs with the songs if i get enough funding), personal letters written to the family, and a book with stories of my journey and my story told. Custom item with their childs name on it will also be added. I am hoping to make 25-30 of these boxes to be delivered before the first week of June 2018. Please help donate,so I can help comfort families who may not have all the support they need through this journey without their children. I know these boxes would mean alot to them. You can also email me at Ellisbearyloved@gmail.com for any questions or comments. I will be posting pictures of the boxes once they are made and if you email me and donate through go fund me i will personally send you a thank you card via email. Thank you :)- Ellisbearyloved
