A Shock Diagnosis

Frank has recently been diagnosed with severe joint issues, including shoulder instability and hip dysplasia. The diagnosis hit us out of nowhere — there has been no time to prepare, and now we’re in a race to manage his pain and slow the progression.

Without treatment, his quality of life will decline. He won’t be able to do the activities he loves. And the pain will only increase.

We will be running a series of fund raising events in the upcoming months and appreciate your support!

Our Story

Frank didn’t just change my life.. He gave it purpose.

When I brought him home, I had no idea that one fearful little Sprocker would completely turn my world upside down. We stumbled into mantrailing as a way to help him build confidence… but what we actually found was a path that would lead to something so much bigger.

Because of Frank, I discovered a passion for working with dogs that I never knew existed. I found my calling. And in the years since, countless pet dog owners have also discovered the magic of mantrailing; building unshakeable bonds with their dogs, watching their confidence grow, and learning to speak their dog’s language in a whole new way.

It all started with Frank.

He’s the reason behind Frank ‘n’ Scents Mantrailing. He’s the reason so many “quirky” dogs are now thriving. He’s the reason I’ve been able to support dogs and their humans in building a connection most people don’t even realize is possible.

And now, he needs our help.

Why It Matters

Frank is so much more than a dog. He’s my partner, my inspiration, and the beating heart of a community of dogs and handlers who found something special because of him.

In recent months, he’s even been helping me in schools — showing teenagers the power of working dogs and letting them take the lead as he follows their scent. That, too, will have to pause without treatment.

But this isn’t about work — this is about giving Frank the comfort and care he deserves. The chance to rest, to recover, and to enjoy life without pain.
