HELP Maria beat stage 4 colorectal cancer

Donation protected
On May 19, 2019 my mom woke up with severe pain in her lower abdomen. We weren't sure what to make of it at first so mom said she would try to sleep it off and if there was no improvement in the morning she would go to the doctor. In the morning, the pain hadn't subsided so we took her to the doctor where she underwent a series of tests and scans. The initial scans showed a 5cm growth on the right side of her abdomen. We were then advised that a biopsy would be necessary. On June 5th the results of the biopsy indicated that the growth was cancerous and the cancer had metastasized to her liver (Stage 4). Our lives were turned up sided down from that moment.
The oncologist in Barbados (where we reside) recommended that she undergo 6 cycles of chemo and then surgery to remove the growth. A surgery, that was not routinely performed in Barbados and would have to be done in another country. We decided that my mom would undergo the chemo in Barbados and then travel to Canada for the surgery. After this decision was made, approximately 1 week before chemo was scheduled to begin in Barbados, we were informed that there was a possibility that all the medication for her 6 cycles of chemo might not be available on the island. We knew that healthcare on the island is in need of some upgrading and transformation but we couldn't fathom the idea of not having access to life saving medication.
2 days later I (Tracy, her daughter) left my job and booked 2 tickets to Canada leaving the very next day. We couldn't take the chance of running out of medication half way through her treatment.
We have been in Canada for 4 weeks now. The oncologist here has recommended twice as much chemo as the oncologist did in Barbados. Mom is scheduled for 12 cycles of chemo and surgery. She has completed 2 of those cycles so far and she is doing pretty well. We pray that she continues to responds well.
Any funds donated will go a long way in helping us cover some of the medical expenses we incurred while in Barbados and more so the medical expenses we are dealing with now in Canada.
We would like to thank anyone who donates to helping my mom beat cancer. We love and appreciate you all.

Thank you,

Maria and Tracy
