"Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories..." - Ronald Reagan.
"If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing
And Always look on the bright side of life"- Monty Python
It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that our beloved Michael Silverthorn has passed away. On Thursday, March 3, 2022, Michael Silverthorn, unexpectedly lost his life. Michael was a person with such a genuine heart and always had his friends and families back, with a personality that lit up a room. He was the kindest individual who had so much to give. Our hearts ache with the overwhelming sorrow at the loss of one of the most incredible, kind, funny, talented, generous and loving members of the Silverthorn family.
Mike was an inspiration to us & made such a difference in so many people’s lives in so many ways! Despite having COPD and being Disabled in these last years of his life causing him to be unable to work like he once did in his youth, he always planned ways to keep helping others. He was smart and had a gleam in his eye and he always took time to think things through before carefully explaining making sure the other person gained the knowledge he had. No matter what was going on with him, he'd always make time to listen. He taught us about integrity and what true character is! He was valued and appreciated as a father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, son, and grandson who anyone could talk to, laugh with and commiserate with, ending with him usually pointing out the bright side of things, reminding you to do the right thing.
Many have asked how to help. Your prayers, thoughts, words of support, and yes, financial support are greatly appreciated during this difficult time. While food and gift cards are appreciated, monetary gifts are most beneficial. There will be numerous costs including but not limited to cremation and the various expenses involved in taking care of leftover medical bills that will now fall on his family. On behalf of his son Anthony and the extended family, thank you. Donations will be given directly to cover his cremation and all the expenses left over.
With every donation I know we all send our love to his family and friends wishing them blessings emotionally. We will always love and miss you Mike Silverthorn. Watch over us as we will always keep you in our hearts.
With much gratitude,
Stephen Silverthorn
We will post an update regarding a potential celebration of Mikes life once the weather is warmer.
