Dear family and friends and passersby,
Please help support my aunt and uncle and cousins, whom I will refer to as the Gregory family, as they are doing one of the most difficult tasks of planning the funeral for their beloved daughter/sister and my beloved cousin, Melinda Crosby.
Melinda, who unexpectantly passed away in her sleep on 9/2/2015, is survived by her three children, ages 18, 16, and 5, her parents, Shirley and Bobby Gregory, and her two sisters, Pamela Shortt and Susan Fossler. Unfortunately, Melinda did not maintain a life insurance policy and all funeral expenses will need to be covered by this heart-broken family.
We are reaching out to our extended family and friends and asking for you to find it in your heart to donate toward the funeral expenses to make sure that Melinda is able to receive a dignified funeral the way she wanted it.
For now, I've listed the donation amount as the average cost of a funeral in Texas as they are planning the details. Anything given beyond the final funeral cost will go toward expenses for Melinda's children.
If you can't donate, please share this and help other extended family and friends see it and have the opportunity to help the family as well. We all loved Melinda, dearly, and we want to support her family in our best way possible. Hopefully, this tragic event can bring unity and solidarity to our ever expanding extended family.
If you'd like to donate privately, not on the Internet, please contact me directly for instructions.
Love,
Tabby
PS. I live in California, but everyone else lives in Texas. I've had a few people ask about that. This is my way of contributing to my family while being physically distant from them.
