James has been by her side at the hospital since she was admitted. Family members have been caring for their young boys.
Jenn presented with shortness of breath and chest pressure which led to slew of tests. She was admitted to Crittenton. A cardiologist then came and told her she was in heart failure with her heart only working between 20% - 25% and lungs at 30% capacity. This was Thursday 3/22.
For the next week she endured many tests leading up to the decision to transfer her another hospital. She was transported by ambulance to St. John’s Providence in east Detroit.
Today, 3/29, as this story is written, we await the Chief Cardiac surgeon, Dr. Sanjay Batra. The reason for such a long delay is that her left ventricle is not working properly. This significantly increases the level of difficulty of the surgery. If the ventricle can’t be repaired she will need an LVAD (Left Ventricle Assistance Device). In Michigan only three hospitals have this machine.
So here we are waiting for the doctor.
Our family would be grateful and appreciative if you would check out Jenn's GoFundMe page and contribute to help with medical expenses.
