This mutual aid fund is a communal resource for Claremont College workers including but not limited to dining hall services, custodial grounds department, and facilities department experiencing financial insecurity due to COVID-19, raised through a grassroots campaign from our classmates, alumni, and other members of our community.
The goal of this mutual aid Claremont College worker relief fund is to be able to help 5C workers with any upcoming financial expenses. All funds will go towards assisting workers pay rent, utilities, medical expenses, groceries, toiletries, travel, etc. Please donate if you able to & share with your networks.
During these unprecedented times, it is essential that we continue to think about how admin decisions regarding school closure/remote learning will directly impact the material conditions of workers. It is necessary that we take action and redistribute resources/funds in order to address these needs.
Thanks for your time and solidarity.

"Mutual aid projects are a form of political participation in which people take responsibility for caring for one another and changing political conditions, not just through symbolic acts or putting pressure on their representatives in government, but by actually building new social relations that are more survivable." - Big Door Brigade
