Dougs Journey

Friday our dad, Doug Grissett was found unresponsive in his driveway. CPR was performed and was brought back. He was rushed to SEORMC and was stabilized. They did a CT of his head and found bleeding on the brain. And he suspected an aneurysm. He was life flighted to Riverside Memorial where it was confirmed he had a 13 mm aneurysm on his brain stem. They went in and placed a drain in his head to help pull out the blood to relieve pressure. Then we got the news they could fix the aneurysm. They packed in 14 feet of coils into the 13 mm aneurysm. Today he is reacting to pain, coughing with the vent in, and his pupils are reactive. His CT is also showing improvement! We are asking for help with medical bills, gas expenses, bills and necessities for mom and the family! Dad won’t be going back to work and the bills won’t stop coming. We want to help relieve the stress for my mom. She doesn’t need the added stress. He will be in Riverside for a minimum of 3 weeks and we have a very long road ahead of us. Doug is a Marine veteran and is loved by many!
