Amanda Sowa and her family have had a tragic turn and they need all the help they can get. On April 19th, they lost their home in a fire. Thankfully her daughter got out safely and no one was seriously harmed, but, one of the pets is missing and they have lost all clothing, furniture, personal items, and pictures all in addition to losing their home. The fire started in the garage and spread into the house-- most of the roof is destroyed and there is substantial fire, smoke, and water damage in the home. They can no longer live here. Although the Red Cross is helping, they can only help with immediate needs (food, shelter) for three days.  

This funding campaign has been launched by her family (Aunt Loretta Sowa & Cousin Resa Nelson) in order to help her out. For those of you who know Amanda she has faced much tragedy throughout her life—she lost her dad at 18 and lost her 2-year-old daughter to Battens Disease 10 years ago. Despite this, she continued to work hard and raise her other daughters, Paige and Presley, as a single mother. She currently works two jobs to support them. We decided to start this campaign in order to help her through this tragedy and rebuild her life once again.

All proceeds will go directly to Amanda Sowa to put a rental deposit on a new home and toward replacing home essentials (i.e. furniture, sheets, towels, pillows, appliances), and replacing some belongings (such as clothes) to get a jump-start on rebuilding from the ashes.
