By now, most of you have heard about the passing of Guadalupe Alvarez, our mother.
"My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am, I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her."
---George Washington
Yesterday my mother went to be with the Lord and her husband of 30 years, her parents and all her good friends and family that went before her.
Guadalupe, was a truly beautiful person with a genuine, warm honest soul. She had a great sense of humor and quick witt, the most crafty and creative person you could ever meet and there was no problem she couldn't help with. She was the confidant of many because she was nonjudgemental. She always had an open door and warm hug policy to all that needed her, those that took the offer always would leave with a full belly and the weight of the world off their shoulders.
She was an exceptional mother, daughter, friend to any and all whom she met over the years. Her time on this Earth might be considered long by many but was not enough by her family.
She leaves behind eleven children, 38 grandchildren and countless heartbroken family members and friends. If you would like to share your favorite memories of Guadalupe with her family, please email [email redacted]
Please keep Guadalupe's family in your thoughts and prayers. Any help is appreciated at this difficult time.
