“HOW AM I GOING TO SUPPORT MY FAMILY?”
Donation protected
I am running this campaign for my son Bryan and family. His ability to work is on hold. He will recover but at this point he could be out anywhere from 3 to 4 months.
About 7 months ago, he was having back ache. He thought it was his job was giving it to him.
This is all started 4weeks ago he had a high fever. He went to a urgent care. The dr there said he had kidney stones and treated him. Around two to three days he could not take the pain anymore so he went to the local hospital. When they did his blood work he was septic. He was admitted right away. The began doing test on him. The tests can back that he had damage to his colon and bladder. The surgeon said he wanted to send him home with meds so the infection gets lesser. Seven prescriptions later and 10 days he ended up again at ER.
He could not keep his fever down and he could not eat. During the 7 month in pain he lost 70lbs. He is skin and bones now.
When he was admitted the second time he was septic again. His doctor said we are going to operate now because we can not control the infection at home. After the long surgery the first words out of him was “HOW AM I GOING TO SUPPORT MY FAMILY?” My heart was hurting for this great man.
We we are now in the hospital for 7 days and no answer when he can go home. He has had 5 plus hours in surgery. He has had a repair to his colon and repair to his bladder. He is a large amount of pain. They also found a Mass in his colon the size of a baby football. We are waiting for the lab to give us the results of this Mass. He has gotten two units of blood now. They are watching his blood to see it he needs more.
The funds that we earn are going to help feed his family and pay their bills till he can go back to work. He will get short term disability for a very short time. Than nothing will come in. His short term is only 60% . This will not cover his normal living expenses. He also has to pay his health insurance any all all co-pays for the doctor visits. He is a very proud man so I had to ask permission to run this campaign. With prayers and the love he has for his family he still needs to not work for long time. When a mother sees he baby boy cry as a man now it hurt. I gave this a lot of thought. I know he has no father to help and I have nothing to help him.
After this his first surgery, in 3 months they have to repeat the surgery to reconnect his colon. This time he will be out of work again. The doctor said the surgery and recovery the second time is just as invasive as the first. Including his recovery. So even after 3 months healing he has to go through this again. He is very depressed. He cries almost everyday. He Is more worried about his family than himself. It is important for him to think about healing and relax. I do appreciate any help you can give him. Also, please feel free to share this with you Facebook friends and family. He also has a lot of medical co-payment from all of this. Please feel free to call me anytime to see how he is doing or the details of his health.
