Mike Dorger Treatment Fund

If you have ever had the honor of meeting Michael Dorger, you know what a hardworking, lovable, generous, and God-fearing man he is. He has been married to his wife for 33 years. They are both extremely devoted, self-sacrificing and loving parents and grandparents.
He is the father of three daughters ages 32, 23, and Seven. His family structure is a little unusual due to being blessed with the birth of his youngest daughter when he was 47 years old. He is also an outstanding grandfather to his two granddaughters who are six and three years old. After experiencing a persistent cough and fatigue, suspecting an upper respiratory infection, he went to an urgent care to see a physician. The physician suspected a mass in his lung upon auscultation, which was then confirmed with an x-ray. In a tragic and astonishing turn of events, Michael was diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. He quit smoking several years ago after realizing he needed to maintain his health to raise his young daughter and see his granddaughters grow up. Despite these efforts, he is now facing a non-curable, terminal cancer with extensive metastases. He refuses to give up and plans to continue fighting for his family, especially his youngest daughter. Michael is always helping others, but the last person to ask for help from others. However, with his young age and no history of health problems, he never expected to be unable to work or undergo costly cancer treatments. All donations, prayers and support are greatly appreciated and funds will support Michael’s cancer treatments and help with bills due to his compromised ability to work.
