Big news! I’ve been selected to represent Team Ireland at the Worlds in South Korea and Team BC at Canadian Nationals in Halifax this summer!
Hi! My name is Michael, I’m 18 years old, and I have just been given the chance to live out not one—but two—of my biggest lacrosse dreams.
I have the incredible opportunity to represent Team Ireland at the World Lacrosse Championships in South Korea, and shortly after, to suit up for Team BC at the Canadian Nationals in Halifax, Nova Scotia. These two events are massive milestones for me, both personally and as an athlete. Being selected for both teams in the same season is honestly a dream come true.
Lacrosse has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked hard—on and off the field—with the ultimate goal of one day playing in the Olympics. This is a big step toward that goal.
The cost for both trips combined is around $14,000 not including the gear! While I’m working two part-time jobs and just completed my final year of high school, it’s still a lot. My parents are doing everything they can to support me (I’m one of three boys in the family!), but any help I can get to offset the costs for my parents would mean the world to me.
I’m so proud to represent both my heritage (Ireland) and my home province (BC) on the international and national stage, and I want to make the most of these chances.
If you’re able to donate—even a little—it would help more than you know. And if you can’t, just sharing this with others is also a huge help.
This is a dream come true and a huge step toward my goal of one day playing in the Olympics. I’m working hard, but I could really use your support to help cover the travel costs.
Any donation or share means the world to me!
Goal: $14,000
