Hello friends and family. The good news is that water did not get in our house (thanks for all those prayers!). The inspector told us we were only 4 inches away! Bad news: After meeting with the insurance inspector, we are starting our insurance adjustment process and of course, it is a painstaking process. No one expected this 100-year flood and our PTSD had barely recovered from 2021.

Our vents under the house are shot, so we don’t have a heating system, and that is our first priority, and then fixing any structural damage and cleaning of the shop. All funds raised will go to covering our insurance deductible. The first $5k will go to the deductible for the house (most importantly) and the other for the shop, cleaning, replacing, and structure. We had never planned or wanted to do this again but here we are: asking our village for help. Any little bit helps and is appreciated. We thank you in advance.
