On the 28th of June 2025, our beautiful boy George, aged just 13, tragically drowned at Anderby Creek. His sudden and heartbreaking loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.
George was an intelligent, talented and kind boy. His sudden loss has left a hole in our hearts that words can’t fully express. He had so much potential and so many plans for the future. He was about to start his GCSE’s and wanted to join the armed forces - something he spoke about with pride and determination.
While we’re all grieving, my heart especially aches for his mum, stepdad, and younger siblings, Nancy and Teddy, who are now facing an unimaginable emotional and financial burden.
This fundraiser is to help support them with whatever they may need in the coming weeks and months—from funeral and wake expenses, to everyday living costs, giving them space to grieve without added financial pressure. George’s Mum would like to get a memorial bench placed in their local park and create keepsakes for George’s siblings who loved and adored their big brother. Any money left over will go towards professional bereavement counselling and trust funds for Nancy and Teddy.
No one should have to face this kind of pain alone and any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page or keeping George’s family in your thoughts.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time.
With love,
