Kerry Morris and Ryan Hinz - Ashers Parents

Hello to all, we are Mike and Andreza. We are coming to you with an urgent plea to aid our friends, Kerry Morris and Ryan Hinz. They have recently suffered an immense loss due to a devastating fire that swallowed up Lahaina, Hawaii on August 8, 2023.

The unforgiving fire consumed everything Kerry and Ryan had built over the years – their home, their belongings, and most tragically, their dearest dog, Asher, who was in our care during the fire. Four of the five dogs with us that day managed to escape the flames in a daring sprint to the ocean. However, Asher, frightened and disoriented, did not join them.

Compounding Tragedy: Shortfall of Insurance

Adding to this distressing loss of Asher and their material possessions, Kerry and Ryan are grappling with the harsh reality that their insurance will not fully cover the extensive damages caused by the fire. They now face the daunting task of securing a new home, replacing lost clothing, furniture and other essential items, all under the shadow of inadequate insurance support.

A heartbroken Kerry shared, “Our world changed in the blink of an eye. The fire took away our home, everything we worked for, the life we had painstakingly built over the years, and most painfully, our baby Asher.”
