I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor and Lung Cancer in March of 2018. I have had Brain surgery and Immunotherapy starting in April. The expenses have been reasonable but unexpected. Medicare has helped tremendously but I am still running at a monthly short fall of around $1500. At the present time my Brain tumor is under control and the lung legions are smaller but remain a concern. As a side effect of the immunotherapy my kidneys started to fail about 10 weeks ago. This is very concerning because I have no appetite, no energy, and have lost about 30 pounds. I am doing what I can to eat properly but it is a challange. My expenses include: Co Pays (5 Doctors), regular visits and supplements from my naturopath, surgeries and infusion treatments (monthly payments around $200). I am continuing to work and doing my best to stay active although the kidney issue blind sided me and has been a major problem. I continue to see a Nephrologist and hope that my kidneys can heal over the next several months. This money will keep my family unit together and provide stability for myself, my wife, and my grand children (4 which live with me). If we can start to receive help in the next few weeks we should be OK.
