Hi, my name is Zach McConnell I am the son of Earl McConnell and Shelby McConnell. Back in 2012 my dad received a new kidney he was sick for a long time and it was a miracle that my older brother was able to give him one of his. Skip forward to 2020 and Earl got hit with Covid hard and we had a little scare. Now we are here today. On Tuesday March 7, 2023, I took my dad to the emergency room as he was not feeling great and my mom was scared and concerned. My dad ended up in the ICU for a few days here in Chadron and then was flown to Regional West in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. As we all know any helicopter or plane rides (Life Flight or Flight for Life) are not cheap and they do not have the insurance to cover them. With Dad not being able to work and mom taking her time off as well, bills are starting to pile up. Many of you know my parents and have for a very long time, they both would give you the shirt off their back. To some, they have been parents away from home. They always have an open-door policy and have been a refuge to so many. They are not ones for handouts and still aren't looking for one.
