I'm Mary Beth Lynn and my husband Robbie and I own and operate Assistants That Work and Your Vacation Plan. Typhoon Tino has devastated many parts of the Philippines, and our community has been directly affected.

Some of the Travel Advisors we work with have incredible virtual assistants (and their families) in the Philippines and they have lost everything. Homes have been destroyed, streets are underwater, and entire communities are going to be left starting from scratch. Our assistant (Bang) in Cebu had to ride out the storm on her roof with her partner just to avoid the flood waters.

While our clients and team are just a small part of the bigger picture, the impact has been personal and heartbreaking. Other assistants we know had to climb onto their roofs with their families to survive or leave everything behind to get to higher ground. Many have been and are still currently without shelter, power, and basic supplies like water and food.

The last time a typhoon of this strength hit in 2021, people were without power for almost a month.

We’re partnering with Greenpath (our assistant services partners in the Philippines, who many of our client’s assistants work for) to help provide relief and support for people in the Philippines:
