Hi my name is Hilary and I am rasing funds for a cuddle clone for my son.

My son and his Nanna dog were born 6 months apart and have been partners in chaos and best friends ever since. Nanna helped him learning to crawl, walk, talk and has been a constant rock in his life for 10 years.

Our Nanna dog has helped my son through covid, his autism diagnosis, changing school, making friends and providing a safe and predictable routine lowering his anxiety before school. Mabel made friends with everyone and anyone she could and often made other school children smile at the school gates.

We lost our beautiful, funny and special dog Mabel on October 1st, 13 days before my son turns 10. What we thought was to be a routine operation turned sideways in the worst way. Our beautiful girl was riddled with cancerous lumps and they had started growing in her lungs. The vet had said that it was amazing that she had carried on as well as she had considering what the Xrays showed. I strongly believe she was holding on for her boy and myself.

I would love to ease his heartbreak and grieving journey by giving him a replica of his best friend. The funds raised will give me the opportunity to have a cuddle clone of our beautiful girl made and cover the postage from America.
