Help me get top surgery

UPDATE: £3,500 would help me proceed with surgery. It would help me pay off the first 19 months of the Nuffield health loan. I plan to take out a £7,500 loan from them then pay it back over 4 years. 


Hi all, as the journey continues i am fighting against the horrendous NHS gender services where there is a likelihood that i won't be getting top surgery for another 5 yrs minimum.

For all those, top surgery is a double mastectomy to create a more masculine-looking chest through reconstruction. This surgery is the final major point in my transition to the man i have always been.

Surgery is costly. I am wishing to go with a plastic surgeon called Dr Mellington in Brighton and with a private referral it is looking to be around £7,500. No joke, he is one of the cheapest and i have seen pictures of his work and it looks incredible, especially as someone with a greater BMI.

I absolutely hate to seem like I'm begging for money but anything to go towards this goal would be a step in the right direction, to a future where i can be more comfortable in my own skin and i can chill on the beach. Surgery should never be this expensive and NHS gender services are in serious need of funding with the thousands seeking support from their services every single year.

This may take years but the final part of my journey has begun.
